Chicago Glee Glub Interprets The Pixies

An interesting interpretation of the classic Pixies song "Where Is My Mind". Not exactly a remix or mash-up, just the Blue Ribbon Glee Club doing it as a choir track. It gets a little sloppy here and there but I bet it was a fun show to be at and luckily someone caught it on tape.

    Fan Created Beck Vid

The Music Slut points us to this fan created video for Beck's Timebomb. It aint bad! The crude animations and such fit the Beck character and style. Granted it aint a Michel Gondry, but it still resonates. Enjoy!

    User Created Fake Identity

At least once yearly, average joes and janes spend a fair amount of time trying to create the most elaborate fake identity that they can with the common tools and fabrics at their disposal. They often do so with great success, on occasion, they fail miserably. No we are not talking about high school kids trying to make a reasonable facsimile of a driver's license, we are talking about Halloween. The party that I stumbled into contained many a naughty nurse and a few gay Dumbledores and yet with that I bring you

    Ad Mash-up

This is one of those scary, cultish 'the leader is watching' type mash-ups by Wreck & Salvage that uses some old classic advertising (My Buddy!).  It is pretty freaky and surreal, but what would we expect from some funky digital artists with an editing system.

    Oh The New Media Douchebags

This video hits a little too close to home! I guess we are all a little bit like this, although KommonKraft who made it in many ways gave in to what they criticize simply by doing and sharing it on their blog.

    Take Me Out

Seeing as I am in Boston and it is game 2 of the World Series ( not to be confused with the World Series of Pacman) so why not watch a Yankees play Take Me Out To The Ballgame on a funky Hammond Organ.

    I Am Almost Positive

I am almost positive that you have never seen this alternative music video of The Karate Kid theme song. But now you have.

    Star Trix

BoingBoing points us today to a few 70s films from Art Binninger that are claymation spoofs of Star Trek. They are pretty entertaining for any Trekkie, and a few others may enjoy the campy graphics, detailed set and silent movie soundtrack as well. The Shatner would be proud.

    SpinMan!

I love it when random people are good at very random things. Check out this guy who made a video of himself spinning random objects on his finger. I am not sure if I would really call it a talent, but something about the video seems to work for me and I get this sense that he is a good guy, who just happened to have a weird talent and without the Gong Show, where else is there to display them but YouTube!

    Schizophrenic Asians Are Funny

I am not really sure what to do with this one, but he could be the next Chris Crocker. Uncle Same is dual personality and judging by the viewcount (200,000+), pretty popular! This is what makes the intertubes so good. The randomness of what you find. Respect to MJQF for the catch!
